Overview

ShareIT is a content publishing platform that allows users to write, publish, and discover articles, stories, and ideas. It's built with a focus on readability, clean design, and smooth content discovery.

The Story

ShareIT came from a simple observation: most publishing platforms either feel too corporate or too technical for everyday people who just want to share an idea.

I wanted to build something different a space that felt open and inviting. Somewhere a student could post their first essay, a developer could share a thought, or a creative could publish a story, all without fighting through a complex interface.

The first design decision was deliberate simplicity. I stripped back everything that wasn't essential and built around the content itself. The editor had to feel like writing on paper minimal distractions, maximum focus.

Typography became the primary design tool. I obsessed over line-height, font sizing, and spacing because readability is everything on a writing platform. If reading feels uncomfortable, nothing else matters.

The discovery feed was another important challenge. I didn't want it to feel like a noise machine. The goal was to surface content that felt worth reading not just popular content, but interesting content. I focused on a clean card layout that gave each post its own presence without competing for attention.

Building the rich text editor was technically demanding. I needed formatting tools that felt lightweight and natural, not heavy or intimidating. Every interaction from bold text to inserting an image had to feel smooth.

ShareIT taught me something important about platforms: the best ones disappear. When the tool gets out of the way and the content takes over, you've done your job as a designer.

The Challenge

Building a publishing platform requires solving both technical challenges (rich text editing, content management) and design challenges (making reading and writing feel effortless and inviting).

The Solution

I chose a minimal, typography-first design approach letting the content breathe. The editor is distraction-free, and the discovery feed is curated to surface interesting content without overwhelming the user.
